MINI STORAGE TERMS OF SERVICE
This is a really important legal document. It’s a little long, and you might find parts of it a little boring. We’re sorry — we’ll try to be as concise as we can and we’ll throw in a little humor. It’s very important that you carefully and thoroughly read this whole document, because it sets out your rights (and ours). Here, we set out the terms and conditions (the “Terms” or “TOS”) that govern all use of www.Redi-Box.com and all of Redi-Box’s services. You (and we) are bound by the terms of this Agreement.
We make Redi-Box’s services (primarily, storage of your stuff) available to you only if you accept all of our policies — our Privacy Principles, our Storage Rules, and these Terms (the “Agreement”). You should consider the Privacy Principles and Storage Rules as a part of these Terms. (They are “incorporated by reference.”)
Finally, as you could guess, throughout this Agreement, we will be referring a lot to all your stuff that you store with Redi-Box (“Your Stuff”). To keep things short, sweet and clear, when we have to refer to any individual box or bin or oversized item (i.e., not all Your Stuff, but one individual container) that we are storing for you, we’ll call each of those a “Box”.

Important Legal Notice: The monthly occupancy charge and other charges stated in this Agreement are the actual charges you must pay. Occasionally, Redi-Box may offer special reduced pricing to new customers for a limited promotional period, in which case such lower pricing offered by Redi-Box shall supersede the standard pricing defined above.
TERM AND RENT
The period of time that this Agreement is in effect is called the “term.” The term begins when you sign or accept this Agreement and will continue on a month-to-month basis until terminated (subject to a 3-month minimum storage term requirement, unless specifically offered to you by Redi-Box as part of a special no-minimum promotion which Redi-Box may offer new customers from time to time at its sole discretion).
You shall pay rent monthly to Redi-Box. Monthly rent must be paid in advance on the first day we pick up Your Stuff, and monthly thereafter, or you’ll be subject to a late charge. Monthly rent must be paid in full, without any deductions, without prior notice or prompting from us. (This means we aren’t required to send you an invoice or a billing statement – our job is to worry about Your Stuff; your job is to remember to pay us). The monthly rent amount you must pay is the sum of the full amounts set out in the Schedule of Monthly Charges that apply to Your Stuff, plus any applicable sales and other taxes imposed by any taxing authority. That said you can always view the breakdown of your charges and past monthly bins by clicking here.
Your monthly “Billing Cycle” is based on the date we (or a third party partner like UPS) pick up Your Stuff. So for example, if we pick up Your Stuff on the 5th of the month, your “second month” begins on the 5th of the next month. (Remember: we have a three month minimum). Each Billing Cycle after that would likewise begins on the monthly “anniversary” of your first pickup.
If you add an additional Box during any Billing Cycle, we will adjust your monthly rent for that Billing Cycle on a pro rata basis for the day(s) your Box was in our possession. This means, for example, if you add a Box halfway through the monthly Billing Cycle, you would pay one half the current monthly rent for that Box in the next Billing Cycle. To calculate the actual fractional rent charge that applies to you when adding a Box part way through a Billing Cycle, you’d take the number of days your Box was actually in our possession, including the day we picked up your Box, and divide it by the number of days in that Billing Cycle when you added the Box. You may be wondering how this impacts our three-month minimum requirement. Simply put, if you decide to take a Box back that has not been stored by us (and for which we have not yet billed you) for at least three months, we will charge you the difference so you will have paid for that minimum three months of rent for the Box.
Your first three months of rent are non-refundable. Or stated in a lawyerly way: Under no circumstance will you be entitled to a refund of the first three months’ rent, which will be paid in three monthly installments starting upon the initial pick up of Your Stuff. Occasionally, Redi-Box may make special no-minimum offers to new customers for a limited promotional period, in which case such terms offered by Redi-Box shall supersede the standard contractual minimums defined above. Also, except as discussed below in the Section: “What Happens When You Break the Rules,” you will not be entitled to a refund of a pro rata portion of the rent paid for a particular Box for the month in which the Box is returned to you or the termination of this Agreement occurs if that month is the third month of activity for that Box.
Conversely, when you remove any Box part-way through a Billing Cycle, you will no longer be charged monthly rent for that Box from the next Billing Cycle onward. That’s the advantage of Redi-Box’s month-to-month service commitment with you. However, for full transparency, it also means that you will not get a credit or partial refund of prepaid monthly rent when removing a Box part way through that Billing Cycle. Therefore, consider this when booking a delivery of any of your Box(es) from Redi-Box, and for maximum value aim to have Boxes delivered towards the back end of your Billing Cycle.
The monthly rent, amounts and type of other fees and/or charges, as well as any other term of this Agreement, may be adjusted by Redi-Box effective the month following notice by Redi-Box to you specifying the adjustment. Such notice will be given to you at least thirty (30) days prior to the first day on which the adjustment will be effective. (This basically means we can make changes if we give you a 30 day heads up.) Any such adjustment will not otherwise affect other terms of this Agreement and all other terms of this Agreement shall remain in full force and effect.
You are required to make all rental payments and other payments in a timely manner. Rent is due on or before the first day of your Billing Cycle, according to this Agreement. If you end up late on your payments (☹), we may accept a partial payment of the rent or other outstanding fee. However, our acceptance of a partial payment does not make up for you being late (legally it does not “cure your default or waive or estop us from pursuing our remedies discussed in this Agreement and at law.”) A partial payment will not release your Boxes from any failure to pay (“default”) under this Agreement. Remember: You will not be able to access your Boxes when you are in default. (☹)
Finally, to state the obvious, it is your responsibility to be home to receive Your Stuff when you request Redi-Box to return some or all of Your Stuff to you. Fees for late delivery appointment cancellations and no shows are defined above. Moreover, if you are based in a market where we delivery Boxes through a third party shipping partner (e.g., UPS), our partner will make three (3) attempts to return your requested Boxes. After the third failed attempt, the shipping partner will return Your Stuff to our warehouse, and if that happens, you understand and agree that we will pass on the actual amount the shipping partner charges Redi-Box for this inconvenience to you.
YOUR USE OF REDI-BOX
While corporate accounts for Redi-Box are available, individual users must be real live natural persons over the age of eighteen (18) years (sorry, corporations!) and you can’t be using Redi-Box for someone else. You must be the owner of all property that you store with us. No one else can have an ownership interest in the property. In executing this Agreement you represent (or “warrant”) that you are the sole owner of the property to be stored with us.
After picking up Your Stuff, or, in the case you ship in Your Stuff via a third party partner of Redi-Box like UPS, then after that partner picks up Your Stuff, we will store Your Stuff at a Redi-Box facility; however, you acknowledge and agree that at any time while you are storing Your Stuff with Redi-Box, we shall have the right, at our sole discretion, to move Your Stuff to another one of our facilities in the continental United States. Any decision by Redi-Box to move Your Stuff will not affect your financial obligations to us during the course of your time storing with Redi-Box.
PROPERTY DISPUTES
Absent a court order or binding arbitration ruling, Redi-Box will not release any of Your Stuff to someone else that claims they own it. However, Redi-Box will not “take sides” in a property dispute. If anyone approaches Redi-Box directly with a claim that they are the true owner of some or all of Your Stuff, we will provide them with a form to fill out under penalty of perjury that sets out their claim. As part submitting that form, the person claiming ownership of some or all of Your Stuff must agree to indemnify Redi-Box and you for all costs that result from their claim if it is wrong, and they must agree to offer you the option to arbitrate (without Redi-Box as a party) to resolve the claim, with the loser to pay the winner’s attorney’s fees and costs.
If they agree to these terms, we will provide you a copy of their summary of their claim, along with a form for you to respond to dispute their claims. If you dispute the claims, Redi-Box will take no further action — the matter is yours to resolve (although you will now have the option of a loser-pays arbitration). You have 30 days to dispute the claim of ownership. If you do not respond, we will return the disputed property to you, and notify the person claiming ownership that we have done so. By executing this Agreement, you are agreeing that we can bill you for the costs (including internal staff costs) of returning the disputed property. You also agree that you will not be entitled to any pro-rata refund of monthly rent, and that the three-month rental minimum will still apply.
PAYING FOR YOUR BOXES
Redi-Box, or another company that we rely on, will save your credit card or debit card information and will use it for any future charges. If you want us to stop billing that card, you need to notify us through your settings by providing us with details of a replacement card. We currently only accept the following payment methods for all one-time and recurring charges: American Express, Visa, Mastercard, Discover. However, we reserve the right to require payment by cash, bank check, or certified check should your account balance go past due.
If we are unable to bill your card, we’ll send you a notice and try again in a few days. Late fees will be charged as soon as the event of late payment or delinquency occurs or as otherwise explained in the pricing and fee table at the start of these Terms. In the event there is an erroneous charge back on a payment you make with your credit or debit card, we will charge you a fee of $25. A charge back affects our relationship with our bank. We take this issue very seriously! Likewise, we charge the same fees if there are insufficient funds to in your debit account.
Please be very careful about letting us know if you lose your card or your credit card number changes.
PACKING YOUR BOX
We do not pack your Box(es), so please do not ask our delivery personnel to pack it.
You are responsible to safely and securely pack your items into each Box. This includes packing your items so that they will not be damaged during transit and storage. You understand that the Box will be moved from time to time in connection with deliveries or as may be needed for its storage. By having us pick up (or by sending us) a Box, you are making the statement (i.e., you “represent and warrant”) that the Box has been packed appropriately. You agree that Redi-Box is not responsible for any damage caused by or arising from your failure to properly pack the Box.
Do not overstuff your Boxes! From our experience, for your safety, the wellbeing of our Uploader team members, and the care of your belongings, we strongly recommend that you not pack more than 70pounds of your personal property into any single Box. We reserve the right to refuse to accept any Box that we reasonably believe weighs more than 70 pounds, exclusive of the weight of the Box itself.
MILITARY SERVICE STATUS
It’s very important that we have a record if you are in the Military, because there are special procedures applicable to storage for active duty service personnel. Here, “Military” means (i) a member of the US Army, US Navy, US Air Force, US Marine Corps, or US Coast Guard who is on active duty status (including reservists who are called on active duty) or who is absent from duty as a result of being wounded or being granted leave, (ii) a member of the National Guard who has received a specific type of activation orders, or (iii) an active service commissioned officer of the Public Health Service or the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration.
If you are in the Military, you must immediately notify Redi-Box of changes in your Military status or assignment resulting in changes to your email address, mailing address, phone number or other contact information you previously provided to Redi-Box. If you are not currently in the Military, but become a member of the Military after executing this Agreement, you must notify Redi-Box in writing within thirty (30) days of becoming a member of the Military and provide your new/updated contact information. Of course, we do not expect you to provide us with information about confidential or classified field locations.
RIGHT TO ENTER AND INSPECT YOUR STUFF
If you select to have Redi-Box take photos of or index Your Stuff, Redi-Box will need to open up your Box(es) to do so. Other than providing that service if you select it, Redi-Box does not intend on accessing any of your Boxes after they are sealed. However, Redi-Box reserves the right to open and inspect any Box in the event of an emergency, suspected criminal activity, suspected storage of prohibited goods, or upon your default under this Agreement. Should Redi-Box receive a search warrant from a governmental agency, we may, without incurring any liability to you, immediately remove your seal from the relevant Box(es), allow your Box(es) to be searched, and, if applicable, the contents to be seized. Should Redi-Box receive a subpoena, or a law officer or governmental agency requests documents or information about Your Stuff, you agree that we may provide such information or documents without incurring liability to you.
CANCELLING YOUR ACCOUNT
You can terminate your account at any time by your account settings page or by contacting Redi-Box support. (Any fees for a minimum storage term per Box will still apply). You must arrange for and pay the costs (as set out in this Agreement) of getting Your Stuff back to you. (Our facilities are not publicly accessible, so you can’t just come down and pick stuff up.) You must continue to pay us your full storage charge each month until all of Your Stuff has been returned to you. We hope you don’t cancel, but if you do, cancel towards the end of your monthly Billing Cycle and make sure all your items are gone by the last day of your monthly Billing Cycle (i.e., the day before your monthly anniversary storing with Redi-Box).
CHANGES TO OUR POLICIES
We may modify, adjust, or change our Storage Rules, these Terms, and our Privacy Principles at any time upon 30 days notice to you. The change will become effective the month following the notice. If we do change, adjust or modify our Storage Rules, these Terms or our Privacy Principles, we will send you a notice by email, postal mail, or SMS. It is your obligation to review the notice. Your continued use of Redi-Box will constitute an acceptance of the change.
PROHIBITED USES
You may not store in any Box:
- hazardous materials (including but not limited to any hazardous or toxic chemical, gas, liquid, substance, material, waste, or any other substance whose storage is or becomes regulated under any applicable local, state or federal law or regulation);
- food or other perishable good;
- any item that, in our determination, attracts vermin or creates a nuisance;
- flammable materials, such as gas, kerosene, paint, oil, etc.
- items that, in our determination, have a noxious odor;
- items that, in our determination, danger the safety and health of people of the environment;
- explosives, fireworks, or other inherently dangerous materials;
- animals, pets, or any living creature;
- an item which is illegal, including, illegal drugs, stolen property,
- firearms, ammunition, or any weapon
- counterfeit goods;
- personal property which would result in the violation of any law or regulation of any governmental authority, including without limitation, all laws and regulations relating to hazardous materials, waste disposal and other environmental matters;
In addition, we strongly advise that you should not place into a Box any official personal documents (such as passports, driver licenses, green cards, visas, birth or marriage certificates, etc.) or anything that contains personally identifiable information, such as date of birth, social security number, mortgage number, or a bank account number. This is not an exclusive list of personally identifiable information. Basically, do not put anything into the Box that contains information that can be used to steal someone’s identity or a document that you may urgently need at a moment’s notice. By executing this Agreement, you understand and agree that if you go ahead and store official documents or items containing personally identifiable information in a Box, to the fullest extent permitted by law, you waive all rights and claims against Redi-Box arising in any way from storing these things with Your Stuff. Also, regardless of how well you pack a Box, it will be moved around. It might be jostled at times. As such, you should not store in the Box fragile items, such as Faberge eggs, intricate glass sculptures, porcelain dolls, collectibles or other items that are easily broken. Once again, by executing this Agreement, you understand and agree that if you go ahead and store fragile items in a Box, you waive all rights and claims against Redi-Box should your fragile stuff break or other be damaged.

TEMPERATURE & CLIMATE CONTROL
We will use commercially reasonable efforts to maintain the temperature of the facility in which your Boxes are stored between 55°F and 90°F. Other than temperature, Your Stuff will not be stored in a climate-controlled environment. The air flow, moisture level, and heat will not be regulated. We will take all commercially reasonable steps to protect your items from the growth of mold or similar microorganisms. However, because Your Stuff will not be stored in a completely climate-controlled environment, we cannot guarantee that mold or similar microorganisms may not develop on your property. We are not liable for the natural growth of mold, or mildew or similar microorganisms on your property. You assume the risk that mold or similar microorganisms could develop under these circumstances. Further, you acknowledge and agree that the storage containers provided by Redi-Box and premises where they will be located are not suitable for the storage of heirlooms or precious, invaluable or irreplaceable property such as, but not limited to, books, records, writings, contracts, documents, personalized or other DVDs or videos, works of art, objects for which no immediate resale market exists, objects which are claimed to have special or emotional value and records or receipts relating to the stored goods. You agree not to store any such items. Should you store such items, you assume the risk that they could be damaged by the environmental conditions existing at the premises where they are stored and waive all rights and claims against Redi-Box for any damage arising from environmental conditions.
DEFAULT; DENIAL OF ACCESS
If you fail to pay rent or other fees on time, it means you are in “default” under this Agreement. You may (at our sole discretion) be denied access to the Box if you fail to pay rent by the due date.
Legal Language Warning:
The next few pages and paragraphs (up through the “Waiver of Subrogation” section) contain some pretty heavy legal language and legal concepts. We apologize if the phrasing is a bit dry at times. We’ve tried our best to give you an overview in simple terms, but this is one of those areas where it can be too easy to oversimplify.
The gist is:
That Redi-Box has a property interest (a lien) in items you store with us, and that if you don’t pay amounts you owe us, we have the right to sell those items if we follow the legal procedure allowing such a sale;
That you promise not to give us really valuable items and to cap the total value of the items you give us;
That there are caps on our liability to you if we exercise our right to sell your items (and that you can alter those caps by taking specific actions);
That insurance is your responsibility (not ours), and you release us from all kinds of liability;
That Redi-Box has no liability other than for fraud or its willful acts;
That, to the fullest extent permitted by law, you will indemnify and hold Redi-Box harmless if we incur expenses because of something that happens as a result of something you stored with us.
This summary is not meant to be legal advice and is merely provided as a convenience. In the case of any dispute, the paragraphs that follow set forth the precise statement of your rights and ours.
REDI-BOX’S LIEN; DEFAULT
REDI-BOX HAS A LIEN UPON ALL PERSONAL PROPERTY STORED BY YOU IN THE BOX FOR OUTSTANDING RENT, LABOR, OR OTHER CHARGES, PRESENT OR FUTURE, IN RELATION TO THE PERSONAL PROPERTY, AND FOR EXPENSES NECESSARY FOR ITS PRESERVATION, OR EXPENSES REASONABLY INCURRED IN ITS SALE OR OTHER DISPOSITION AS PERMITTED BY ILLINOIS LAW. REDI-BOX MAY ENFORCE THE LIEN BY SELLING THE PERSONAL PROPERTY STORED BY YOU IN THE BOX AT A LIEN SALE IN ACCORDANCE WITH APPLICABLE LAW. REDI-BOX WILL PROVIDE YOU WITH DUE AND PROPER NOTICE OF THE LIEN SALE PRIOR TO ITS OCCURRENCE.
VALUE OF YOUR PROPERTY
You represent and warrant that each Box rented by you contains property with a total value of $250 or less, with an aggregate limit comprising of all of Your Stuff of $2,000 (the “Aggregate Limit”). If Redi-Box has offered to you, and you have elected individual-index storage, you represent and warrant that the total value of the item stored is $250 or less, subject in the aggregate to the Aggregate Limit. Redi-Box’s maximum liability per Box rented by you for any damages or loss to the property contained in the Box shall be limited to $250, subject in the aggregate to the Aggregate Limit. If you have elected individual-index storage, Redi-Box’s maximum liability to you for damage to that item is $250, subject in the aggregate to the Aggregate Limit. You understand and acknowledge that in renting to you, Redi-Box is relying upon your representation as to the value of the property. Under no circumstance may you store property in the Boxes with an aggregate value in excess of $2,000. Your failure to comply with the limitation of the value of your property stored will constitute a material breach of this Agreement. (Put another way: you’re breaking your promises under this Agreement if you give us things that are more expensive than our value limits.)
This clause is not a limitation of damages relating to any loss or damage to your property caused by Redi-Box after it enforces its lien rights at a public or private lien sale. A limitation of damage clause concerning a wrongful sale claim is contained immediately below.
REDI-BOX’S LIABILITY FOR A WRONGFUL SALE
Our relationship is one of owner and occupant.
Redi-Box’s liability for damages relating to any loss or damage to your personal property caused by Redi-Box after Redi-Box enforces its lien is limited to $250 per Box or item if you elected individual-index storage, subject in the aggregate to the Aggregate Limit. Such liability may, on your written request, at the time of the signing of this Agreement or within a reasonable time thereafter, and if such request is accepted in writing by Redi-Box, be increased on part or all of the property stored in the Box or on the item if you elected individual-index storage. If such request is made and accepted, the monthly charges set forth above will be increased, commencing when we accept, in writing your request, by $5.00 for each $100.00 increase in value, and proportionally thereto (i.e., $50 increase will cost $2.50). If you wish to increase the limitation of liability on your Box, please call our Customer Happiness Team at (800) 920-9440.
INSURANCE
We do not maintain any insurance on your personal property that you can make a claim under. Insurance that applies above the limit of Redi-Box’s liability (or when Redi-Box is not liable) is your sole responsibility. You have the option of obtaining your own personal coverage for your items stored in Redi-Box, and if you do not do so, you understand that Redi-Box will not be liable beyond the amounts and conditions in these Terms.
LIMITATION OF REDI-BOX’S LIABILITY; INDEMNITY
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Redi-Box and its agents will have no responsibility to you or to any other person for any loss, liability, claim, expense, damage to property or injury to persons from any cause, including without limitation, Redi-Box’s and/or its agent’s active or passive acts, omissions, negligence or conversion, unless the loss is directly caused by Redi-Box’s fault. Further, Redi-Box will have no liability to you for damages caused by an act of god, including a hurricane.
INDEMNIFICATION
To the fullest extent permitted by law, you shall indemnify and hold Redi-Box and its agents harmless from any loss incurred by Redi-Box and its agents in any way arising out of Your Stuff and your use of Redi-Box.
WAIVER OF SUBROGATION
Any insurance carried by us or you is for the sole benefit of the party carrying the insurance. Each party waives its right to make any claim against the other for loss or damage in the event of casualty and will cause its respective insurance policies to be endorsed so as to waive that right of their respective insurers. You expressly agree that the carrier of any insurance obtained by you shall not be subrogated to any claim of you against us. This clause is a specific bargained for condition of this Agreement and we would not have entered into this Agreement without it.
CHANGE OF ADDRESS
In the event your e-mail address or residence address changes, you must promptly notify us. We are not responsible if you don’t receive a notice from us because your address changed and you did not notify us.
OUR WEBSITE
All content included on Redi-Box (and the software that runs it) is the property of Redi-Box or Redi-Box’s licensors or other content suppliers. There are copyright and trademark and other laws that apply to protect that content.
We own or license all content on our website (everything) including any trademarks, service marks, or logos. We reserve all our rights (so your rights are those expressly named for you). You may not use (in any fashion, where use is interpreted as broadly as possible) content on Redi-Box without the express prior written consent of the respective owners.
We grant you a limited nonexclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable right solely to display and view content on Redi-Box for personal, non-commercial use. Other than fair use, other uses are prohibited without express consent. We’re actually pretty cool with fair use, just please don’t be jerks.
THINGS YOU CAN’T DO TO/WITH REDI-BOX
No page-scraping, spidering, or other automated access (or equivalent manual process) is allowed. This means you can’t copy or monitor Redi-Box, or bypass or circumvent Redi-Box’s navigation or structural presentation. No poking around looking for stuff we didn’t expressly make available.
You agree you won’t try to hack our systems, like by trying to gain unauthorized access to any part of Redi-Box, or to any other systems or networks connected to Redi-Box or to any Redi-Box server. This includes hacking, phishing, cracking, or any other illegitimate means.
You agree you won’t try to scan or test the vulnerability of Redi-Box, try to breach our security or authentication measures, or generally try to bypass our security.
You also agree to leave other users alone: no attempts at cross-site scripting, IP tracing (you dun goofed), reverse look-up, or other mechanism to obtain information on any other user of or visitor to Redi-Box.
Other than posting about how awesome we are on Reddit, you promise not to do anything that could impose an unreasonable or disproportionately large load on Redi-Box or the systems it is connected to and runs on. (DDOS, BAD. POSITIVE WORD OF MOUTH, GOOD)
Lastly, no manipulation of raw TCP/UDP streams or other shenanigans at the bit level. No forging headers. No attempts to disguise the origins of messages or packets. No calling our headquarters and pretending to be someone else.
In short, don’t be a jerk.
Redi-Box reserves the right to bar any such activity. (And to tell your mom, or other present or former legal guardian, if you’re being a jerk).
WHAT HAPPENS WHEN YOU BREAK THE RULES
You are responsible for everything you do involving Redi-Box. To the fullest extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify, defend, and hold us harmless (and all of our employees, affiliates, directors, officers, or anyone else we promise to similarly hold harmless) from all liabilities, losses, damages, claims, and expenses, including reasonable attorneys’ fees, that arise from: (i) violation of our Terms, Storage Rules, or Privacy Principles, or (ii) the items you store with us.
Redi-Box may terminate your Redi-Box account at any time, with or without cause. If we terminate your account without cause, such termination will be subject to 30 days advance written notice (unless you waive your rights to such notice). In these circumstances, we will refund any pre-paid monthly fees and arrange for delivery of your items back to you at our expense.
If we terminate your account for cause (such as violation of our Terms, Storage Rules, or Privacy Principles), we will notify you of the termination, and you will have 30 days to arrange for transport of your items at your cost via Redi-Box, subject to the price list provided above. Notwithstanding our lien law rights, in the event that we reasonably believe there is an exigent circumstance or other risk to Redi-Box or the property of other customers of Redi-Box, we may terminate your account immediately and return your Boxes to you at your expense, including potentially placing your Boxes in quarantine at your cost.
TERMS THAT SURVIVE
Some parts of these Terms will continue to operate even after your account is terminated.
All provisions of these Terms that by their nature could reasonably survive termination, shall survive termination, including but not limited to, ownership provisions, warranty disclaimers and limitations of liability.
NO WAIVERS
The failure by you or Redi-Box to exercise any right under the Terms shall not form the basis for a waiver of that right.
SEVERABILITY
If any provision of this Agreement is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary so that the remainder shall otherwise remain in full force and effect and enforceable.
TRANSFER
Your rights under our Policies are not assignable, transferable or sublicensable without Redi-Box’s prior written consent. Redi-Box may transfer, assign or delegate its rights and obligations under our Terms without your consent.
CHOICE OF LAW; JURISDICTION
This Agreement and our relationship will be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Illinois, without giving effect to its conflict of laws provisions or your actual state or country of residence. Subject to the arbitration clause immediately below, any claims, legal proceeding or litigation arising in connection with this Agreement, our relationship, or our services must be brought in a court of competent jurisdiction located in Cook County, State of Illinois, and you consent to the jurisdiction of such courts.
This is a very important part of this Agreement. By executing this Agreement, you agree to the choice of law and jurisdiction discussed above. If you do not wish to be bound by this clause, do not execute this Agreement.
ARBITRATION
For all relief other than equitable or injunctive relief, any dispute arising with respect to your use of Redi-Box shall be settled by arbitration in accordance with the rules and procedures of JAMS arbitration and mediation service.
The arbitrator shall be selected by joint Agreement of the parties. In the event the parties cannot agree on an arbitrator within thirty (30) days of the initiating party providing the other party with written notice that it plans to seek arbitration, the parties shall each select an arbitrator affiliated with JAMS, which arbitrators shall jointly select a third such arbitrator to resolve the dispute. The written decision of the arbitrator shall be final and binding on the parties and enforceable in any court. The arbitration proceeding shall take place in Chicago, Illinois, using the English language.
For any claim (excluding claims for injunctive or other equitable relief) where the total amount of the award sought is less than $10,000 the party requesting relief may elect non-appearance-based arbitration with JAMS. In such event, the arbitration shall be conducted by telephone or by videoconference; the arbitration shall not involve any personal appearance by the parties or witnesses unless otherwise agreed by the parties; and any judgment on the award rendered by the arbitrator must be entered in a court of competent jurisdiction located in the State of Illinois.
This clause is a very important part of this Agreement. By executing this Agreement, you agree to the arbitration requirement. If you do not wish to be bound by this clause, do not execute this Agreement.

Footnotes
- Unless offered by Redi-Box as part of a special new customer promotion, there is always a $25 minimum at Redi-Box, meaning that if you store Boxes and/or oversized items resulting in a monthly fee below $25 at any point in time, you will be charged the minimum monthly rental fee of $25 for that month. Occasionally, Redi-Box may offer special reduced pricing to new customers for a limited promotional period, in which case such lower pricing offered by Redi-Box shall supersede the standard pricing defined above. Storage fees (aka, rent) for your first month storing a Box with Redi-Box are charged when we book your Box into our system. Storage fees for subsequent months are charged monthly in advance on the monthly anniversary date of when you started storing that Box with Redi-Box. In the event you add more Boxes to Your Stuff in the middle of a billing cycle, pro-rated rent for the additional Box(es) shall be added to your next monthly bill. Monthly rental charges for storage of oversized items is as follows:
- Bicycle: $25/month
b. AC Unit : $18.75/month
c. Luggage : $6.25/month for carry-on or smaller; $12.50/month for larger than a carry-on
d. Skis/Snowboard (whether in a bag or not) : $12.50/month
e. Set of Golf Clubs (whether in a bag or not) : $12.50/month
f. Your own boxes or containers – $6.25/month per three cubic feet, rounded up to the nearest 3 cubic feet (Note that Redi-Box reserves the right to put your boxes in its own boxes in case the Redi-Box team reasonably thinks that it is necessary for the sake of your belongings and our operations and facilities, in which case such volume measurement on which pricing is determined will be based off of the ultimate Redi-Box boxes.) - Depending on when you started using Redi-Box, our local service may involve plastic bins instead of cardboard boxes. If that is the case, we need to collect empty bins from you after delivering Your Stuff back to you. To do that, just schedule a pick up on our site or via our mobile app. You’re also always welcome to ask our field staff, whom we call “Uploaders”, if they have time in their assigned route to wait for a few minutes at the time of delivery for you to quickly unpack your plastic bins and give them back to our Uploaders either empty or filled with other stuff you’d like to store; however, please understand that the decision to wait for you to unpack (and possibly repack) your bins is solely at the discretion of the Uploaders, depending on their route and time flexibility. Also, you note that each plastic bin is made of highly durable material and is not cheap, and you agree that if you keep empty plastic for more than 30 days without booking a pickup with Redi-Box, we will consider this as a purchase of the plastic bins and you will be charged $25 per bin after the thirtieth day.
- When you request us to throw out Your Stuff or just the stuff that’s in one or more of your Boxes, subject to you signing a full release agreement (the “Release”) in favor of Redi-Box. A form of this Release can be provided to you by our Customer Support team upon request.
- Offered in the continental United States, outside of the areas where our local service is provided (see endnote 2).
- Fee associated with purchasing unused boxes ordered from Redi-Box shall be charged to your credit card 30 days after you initially receive the boxes from Redi-Box.
- Based on shipping a Box weighting no more than 40 pounds. If you send us a Box weighing 40 pounds or more, you will be charged an additional excess weight surcharge of $3.99 for that Box each way (i.e., per trip). If you send us a Box weighing more than 60 pounds, you will be charged a heavy handling surcharge of $15.00 for that Box per trip. This rate shall not apply to any shipments from any location outside of the United States, in which case Redi-Box reserves the right to disallow shipment, apply higher shipping rates as the company, in its sole discretion, deems reasonable, or require customer to take care of shipping arrangement and fees directly without Redi-Box’s involvement.
- Redi-Box does not ship Boxes to destinations outside of the United States.
- Redi-Box does not ship Boxes to destinations outside of the United States.
- In other words, if you store a Box for 20 months, return shipping is free! However, for clarity, besides the first four (4) Boxes stored with Redi-Box (i.e., the minimum number of Boxes you can store with us, unless part of a special new customer promotion), which will effectively all have the same rental start date, each subsequent Box stored with Redi-Box from the fifth (5th) box onwards shall be viewed by itself for the purposes of determining the applicable shipping fee back to you from Redi-Box. So if you store 4 Boxes on January 1st and on July 1st add another Box, then if you want all 5 Boxes delivered back to you on January 1st of the following year, you will be charged $8 per Box to ship the first 4 Boxes (i.e., $20 less $1 per month for 12 months) and $14 for the 5th Box to be shipped back to you (i.e., $20 less $1 per 6 months stored).
- When you request us to throw out your belongings in one or more of your stored Boxes, subject to you signing a full release agreement in favor of Redi-Box.
